Hello everyone, today I I will talk about a Linux program that I found very useful called Ailurus .
This program together all those programs that access it would be predominantly via the command line and dresses them with a graphical interface.
Specifically Ailurus can play fast these actions:
- Install / Remove Applications is not provided in the official repositories
- Enable / Disable third-party repository
- View information about the BIOS, motherboard , CPU and battery
- Show / Hide icons for computer, home folder, trash on the desktop and network
- Configure Nautilus (the ubuntu Explorer)
- Configure window behavior
- Configure automatic startup of GNOME applications
- Show / Hide the splash screen for GNOME
- More ...
To install it on Ubuntu and Mint:
- Open a shell (terminal) from Applications-> Accessories-> Terminal
-
sudo apt-add-ppa repository: Ailurus -
sudo apt-get update -
sudo apt-get install Ailurus
Applications-> System Tools-> Ailurus
To install it on Fedora:
Copy the following commands in a terminal:
-
up -c 'http://homerxing.fedorapeople.org/ailurus.repo wget-O / etc / yum.repos.d / ailurus.repo' -
su-c 'yum makecache' -
