Press Release on situation of workers of workers COGE

Joint Press Release Board opposition groups Ugento City.
Situation COGE workers on strike.
Dear Editor,
With the present Board of groups PD, IDV , UDC and PDCI-FDS on the plight of workers working CONSORTIUM COGE , collectors of waste within ugentino, and administrative staff, on strike for 48 hours for non-payment of two monthly magazine ', expressed as follows:
  • is regrettable and shameful' s attitude of the company, locked in a rancorous and inexplicable silence, when more shares have received requests for a clarification meeting, which aims to unlock this unfortunate situation and to avert the risk of seeing each other with garbage cans full and the waste on the street;
  • inexplicable, not so much for us, as for the 42 workers Ugento yard for two months without pay and without pay, which is once again all our unconditional solidarity and our full support to any of their demonstration to obtain full recognition of a sacred duty: to work and be paid for it;
  • by two days the workers are demanding the company a very simple thing: a guarantee and a formal, written assurance of payment of two months' arrears, and the commitment of cogeneration to pay the salary on time as well as in the past.
We councilors of the opposition, as was done in the past and as regularly done in those days, when we first called for a meeting at the prefecture, which seeks the full recognition of workers' demands COGE Ugento , we insist to be close to cogeneration workers and their families.
Who by many calls for the cessation of all forms of protest, we say that the only way to to include all normal and 'a clear and definite stance on the part of the Consortium COGE against workers and their instances, simple, discounted in a normal country and defended by the constitution of our state: a guarantee of salary and wages, certainty of payment.
